What should I expect during a massage session?

During a massage session, you can expect to be greeted by our trained massage therapist who will ask you about your medical history and any areas of pain or tension you may be experiencing. They may also ask about your preferences for pressure, areas of your body that you would like to focus on, and any allergies or sensitivities you may have. Once the therapist has gathered this information, they will leave the room to give you privacy to undress and lie down on the massage table. You may leave your underwear on or if you feel comfortable enough you can undress completely and drape yourself with a towel. During the massage, the therapist will use various techniques to manipulate your muscles, including kneading, rubbing, and applying pressure with their hands, fingers, forearms and elbows. To reduce friction they will use either unscented oil or aroma oil, or a lotion depending on your individual preferences. Throughout the massage, the therapist will check in with you to ensure that you are comfortable and that the pressure they are using is appropriate for your needs. If at any point you feel uncomfortable or would like the therapist to adjust their techniques, you should feel free to speak up.

After the massage is complete, the therapist will leave the room to allow you to dress in private. They may also offer you water and give you any instructions for self-care or follow-up appointments. Overall, a massage session is a relaxing and therapeutic experience that can help reduce stress, alleviate pain, and improve general well-being.
